They work closely with students pursuing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine DVM degrees, veterinarians in internship and residency programs, and graduate students at the Master's MS and PhD levels. LACSc's educational facilities include the renowned Large Animal Clinic in the Veterinary Medical Center. This clinic serves as an emergency care hub providing diagnostics, medical and surgical treatments, therapeutic services, and more for horses, cattle, other ruminants, as well as exotic animals such as those found in zoos and wildlife reserves.

In partnership with industry stakeholders, LACSc plays a pivotal role by coordinating the Summer Food Systems Fellowship Program. This program ensures that veterinarians are adequately trned to serve within the food animal sector.
