Pet Haven is Minnesota's pioneering foster-based rescue organization, dedicated to enhancing pets' lives and those who love them through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming initiatives since 1952. We believe that dogs and cats deserve a loving family environment, not a kennel. Our commitment spans from high-quality food provision to top-notch veterinary care, as well as comprehensive behavior support for emotional wellness.
At Pet Haven, we champion change across the companion animal landscape by fostering stronger relationships between pets and their owners. Our efforts center on reducing pet overpopulation through spayneuter initiatives and supporting local programs with grants facilitated by SNIP Spay Neuter Initiative Program. We're proud to have assisted over 8,000 animals in undergoing these life-saving procedures.
We value our volunteer community, which plays a pivotal role in making Pet Haven's mission possible. These dedicated souls manage and support all aspects of the organization with over 450 volunteers on board, ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly towards animal welfare.
Our commitment to fostering exts beyond caring for pets within their homes until adoption. We recognize the importance of providing each pet with a nurturing environment where they can express themselves fully and overcome fears or past traumas under loving supervision.
