Veterinary Licensing: Policies and Procedures

The eligibility criteria include degrees accredited by leading organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association AVMA, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons RCVS or Australasian Veterinary Boards Council AVBC. Additional pathways to licensing are avlable through specific examinations like the RCVS Statutory Examination for Membership, North American Veterinary Licensing Examination NAVLE, and Australasian Veterinary Examination AVE.

To embark on this process, simply log in to LicenceOne, a user-frily platform where you can initiate your application by creating an active SingPass or LicenceOne ID. that the entire procedure typically takes around 25 working days once all documents are submitted and assessed.
Licensing Fees and Terms:
Newly licensed veterinarians must att an AVS veterinary licensing briefing within one year of issuance, which includes providing the original qualification certificate for review.
Conditions of Licensing:
Licence holders are bound by several conditions including:
Adherence to the Code of Ethics for Veterinarians, subject to amments that may come into effect.
Working alongside an existing veterinary center for a minimum period in their first year post-licensure to gn local experience.
Informing authorities of any changes in residential or practice addresses within 21 days post-change.
Reporting all microchips implanted in dogs.
